CM Naveen Patnaik orders action against erring officials: NFSA

Bhubaneswar,November 19: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday conducted a review meeting over NFSA implementation in the State through videoconferencing. 

He asked the collectors to take departmental and legal action against government officials and panchayati raj members involved in getting illegitimate beneficiaries enlisted in rolls of the National Food Security Act (NFSA).

He also said that the collectors to include eligible people in the NFSA rolls and drop illegitimate beneficiaries from the list.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sanjay Das Burma said, "The chief minister reviewed the progress of the NFSA implementation in 30 districts and gave the directives to the officials."
