700 years old antique idols stolen from Odisha temple

Dhenkanal:26;Dhenkanal: Three antique idols, made of stone, were allegedly stolen from Chandrasekhar Jew temple located in Kapilash.

The matter came to light after the priest of the temple did not find the side deities inside the temple in the morning today.

According to sources, the stolen antiques are Lord Ganesh, Goddess Durna and Bhairabi which are around 700 years old and are around 3-feet to 4-feet in height.

Meanwhile, temple administration has filed a complaint in this regard at Gandia police station.

Notably in December last year, some miscreants had theft ornaments of Goddess Parbati from the temple.
