Shuttler PV Sindhu seals semis berth at Macau Open

Macau: Nov.27; Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu advanced to the semifinals of the Macau Open Grand Prix after defeating China's Chen Yufei in a grueling women's singles contest on Friday.

The two-time bronze medalist at World Championship claimed a 21-13, 18-21, 21-14 win over Yufei in a 54-minute thriller to secure a berth in the last four.

The story was pretty much similar in the second game, with Sindhu once again clinching it with a strong finish, thus confirming her progress to the quarters.

Sindhu will next take on Chen Yufei of China to seal a berth in semifinals.
