Starc Not To Bowl Further In Adelaide Test Due To Injury

Sydney; Nov.28: Australia paceman Mitchell Starc will not be seen bowling again in the historic day and night Test in Adelaide against New Zealand after scans confirmed an early stage fracture in his right foot.

Starc experienced a pain in his ninth over, which looked like his ankle had got back to trouble him again. He walked off the field on the first day and scans done later on in the hospital revealed that the 25-year-old suffered an early stage stress fracture in the right foot.

The injury has come as a huge blow for the Steve Smith-led side, who are looking to seal the series at the Adelaide Test.

Starc, who limped off the field midway to have scans, was the pick of the bowlers for Australia as he bagged three wickets in the first innings of the opening day of the Pink Ball Test.
