Kobe Bryant Announces Retirement Via Poem: 'Dear Basketball'

Melbourne; Nov 30: Kobe Bryant has announced that he will retire from basketball after the 2015-16 season in a poem posted on The Players' Tribune. In "Dear Basketball," Bryant writes, "This season is all I have left to give...But my body knows it's time to say goodbye."

The basketball player, who is currently the highest paid player in the NBA, earning 25 million dollar this season, is the third all-time leading scorer in the NBA behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.

Bryant is also a two-time NBA scoring champion and a two-time Olympic gold medallist.
