Winter Session In Odisha Assembly Starts Today

Bhubaneswar; Dec.1:  The winter session of the Odisha Assembly beginning on Tuesday will have 21 working days. Finance Minister Pradeep Kumar Amat is scheduled to present the first Supplementary Budget of the year today.

The session, which would run till December 26,would have 21 working days, including 17 Government Business Days and four Private Members' Days. Five Bills are scheduled to be passed during the session, Parliament Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh told mediapersons on Monday.

The Bills which would be presented are Odisha Municipal Corporation (Second Amendment) Bill 2015, Odisha Industries Services (Validation of Application of Assistant Managers and Assistant Directors) Bill 2015, Birla Global University Odisha Bill 2015, Odisha Municipal Services Bill 2015 and the Odisha Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) Amendment Bill 2015.

Regarding the Odisha Police Bill 2015, Arukh said the Bill is still under consideration of the Government.
