Intolerance Issue: Left Parties Protest Outside Parliament

New Delhi; Dec.1: Members of Parliament from the Left parties today held protests in the Parliament complex here to protest against rising incidents of intolerance.

Several prominent Left front leaders such as CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and CPI leaders D. Raja took part in the protest.

The leaders raised slogans such as "stop exploiting public in the name of religion" and 'Down Down Communalism'. They also carried placards with messages such as "stop violence and spreading communal polarisation in the country" and "don't divide the people on the basis of religion".

So far the winter session of parliament has seen several adjournments due to the intolerance issue.
