Angul MLA Hurt, Driver Dies In Road Accident

Bhubaneswar; Dec.2: Former minister and BJD MLA from Angul, Rajnikant Singh has been injured in a road mishap near Rasol in Odisha's Dhenkanal district Tuesday late night.

While Singh has sustained injuries on his face, his driver has been  killed on the spot.

Sources said Singh, after attending the first day of Assembly session, returned to Angul from Bhubaneswar. His vehicle lost control while giving side to a truck coming from opposite side. The car hit a road side electric pole. Driver of the vehicle died on the spot.

Singh was admitted to Hindol Health Centre and later shifted to Bhubaneswar for better treatment. 

The driver is a resident of Kanas in Puri district, reports said.
