Odisha: HC Gives Sarathi's 'Foster Son' Satyam Raul 'Conditional Bail'

Bhubaneswar; Dec.2: Satyam Raul, foster son of self-styled godman Sarathi alias Santosh Raul and  behind bars sinceAugust 20 in Choudwar Jail, has been given conditional bail by the Orissa High Court on Wednesday.

As per the High Court's conditions, Satyam will have to depose before the Crime Branch in every 15 days and cannot leave Odisha without the prior permission of the Crime Branch.

It has also been ordered that a lower court will decide on the amount of bail bond for sanction of bail to Satyam.

Satyam's counsel in the court said his client was only eight-years-old when the Satyam Charitable Trust was formed and is ignorant about the mismanagement of the trust. However, the counsel added the investigating team can probe into the seizure of money even if Satyam remains out of the jail. His client would cooperate with the Crime Branch, added Satyam's counsel.

Satyam was nabbed from a five-star hotel under Borivili police in Mumbai and was brought to Odisha.
