Bhubaneswar; Dec.4: A day after around 20 students were allegedly locked in Rama Devi Women's University during the inauguration ceremony, the Odisha Assembly today witnessed uproarious scenes as the Opposition parties sought a reply from the chief minister on the issue terming it as 'infringement of rights'.
When the proceedings began in the House earlier in the day, Congress MLAs stood at their seats and shouted slogans demanding a reply from the State government.
Later, Congress chief whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati and other party MLAs stormed into the well of House while sloganeering. Bahinipati climbed onto the Speaker's podium and tried to break the mike.
Legislators of other Opposition parties also joined the Congress MLAs and shouted slogans.
Odisha Assembly on Friday was adjourned several times and at last till Saturday by the Speaker Niranjan Pujari.
