Fire in Puri Jagannath Temple, Controlled

Puri; Dec.5: Fire broke out at the Bimala Temple on the Jagannath Temple premises in Puri in the wee hours today.

Sources said the fire spread in the 'Sara Ghara' of the Bimala Temple at around 5 am and after being informed, fire brigade officials rushed to the spot on time and doused the blaze.

The mishap occurred after fire broke out from wood and coal stored inside the house while no damage to life or property has been reported.

The Sara house is near a kitchen room inside the temple.
