Twin Blasts In Guwahati's Fancy Bazar: 3 Persons Injuired

Guwahati; Dec.5: At least three people were injured in twin explosions in a crowded shopping area in Guwahati today.

The explosions, which occurred at about 3.15pm, took place near a sweet shop in Fancy Bazar area of Assam's capital city. The area has a large population of Hindi speaking people.

Police Commissioner Mukesh Agrawal, however, said the after affects of a grenade blast is not observed at ground zero.

"It was observed that a child was carrying a bag and there was a sound and subsequently there was another sound. We are investigating this thing carefully. We have maintained alert in Assam based on inputs. Two to three people are suspected to be injured," Agrawal told the media here.
