Kotla Test Day 3: Rahane, Kohli Partnership Gives India 403 Runs Lead Against S.Africa

New Delhi; Dec.5: India are in the driver's seat at the end of the day's play.  Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane have bailed the team out of trouble and have steered them to a commanding position.  Kohli and Rahane added 133 runs, thereby becoming the first pair to bring up a century stand in this series.

Morne Morkel gave South Africa an inspiring start in the first session. The tall pacer and Tahir combined well and scalped four quick wickets before Kohli and Rahane took control. Since then, it has been text book Test match batting from the talented, young batsmen.

The new ball has been taken at the Kotla. Morkel steams in with the red cherry. But he has to wait till tomorrow morning. Bad light halts play and it's stumps on Day 3.
