India Win The Historical Test Series 3-0 Against S.Africa, Hold Second Spot In ICC Test Rankings.

New Delhi; Dec.7:  India moved into the second place of the ICC Test Championship table after completing a 3-0 drubbing of South Africa in the four-Test series, which concluded with the fourth match in New Delhi today.
Hosts India today notched up a massive 337-run victory over South Africa in the fourth and final Test at the Ferozshah Kotla stadium after dismissing the visitors for 143 in 143.1 overs.
The 3-0 series result has helped Virat Kohli's side gain 10 points, which has lifted it from 100 points to 110 points, ahead of Australia and Pakistan, which have slipped one place each to third and fourth, respectively.

Chasing an improbable 480 for win, South Africa were bundled out for 143 despite producing a stupendous resistance for the last two days.

AB de Villiers failed to sustain his blockathon effort for long after tea as he was dismissed for 43 after facing 297 balls, while captain Hashim Amla made 25 off 244 balls.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin continued to reprise his role as the South Africa's tormentor-in-chief by grabbing another five-wicket haul and was ably supported by pace bowler Umesh Yadav (3-9) and Ravindra Jadeja (2-26).

Ajinkya Rahane was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his brilliant twin tons of 127 and 100 not out, while Ashwin bagged the Man of the Series for claiming 31 wickets overall.
