All Students Of Terrorist Rahman's Madrasa Handed Over To Parents

Cuttack; Dec.19: All the students of suspected Al-Qaeda terrorist Abdul Rahman's madrasa at Tangi were handed over to their parents by the Cuttack district administration on Saturday.

Around 60 from Jharkhand were studying in the Islamic seminary at Tangi here while some others were from Odisha. The administration ordered to vacate the institute after enquiring into its legality.

On the other hand, two teachers of the madrasa have been interrogated by police at Jagatpur police station.

Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra on Thursday directed the district education officer (DEO) of Cuttack to submit a detailed report on the muslim seminary.

The Odisha Urdu Board said the madrasa in question had not been recognised as per norms.
