2 BCJD leaders expelled for BPUT violence

Bhubaneswar: Dec 29; The Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) on Monday expelled its two leaders from the party for their alleged involvement in a road blockade at Master Canteen here on Sunday protesting violence at BPUT alumni meet at a hotel in Bhubaneswar. The two expelled leaders allegedly misbehaved with commuters and even attacked general public during the road blockade.

Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said actions would be taken against erring students who attacked passersby during their agitation. The Commissionerate Police will examine CCTV footage to identify wrongdoers and action will be taken against those found guilty.

On the other hand, Akhila Bharat Bidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) also staged a demonstration at Master Canteen demanding the arrest of students misbehaving with commuters.
