Mayurbhanj: 5 kgs Of Gold, Silver Ornaments Looted From Jewellery Shop

Mayurbhanj; Dec.31: Gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs weighing more than 5 kgs were looted from a jewellery shop in Chakadola market in Udala, in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday late nigh.

According to reports, the burglars robbed the items after breaking three iron chests in which the valuables were kept.

Sources claimed that the miscreants might have taken advantage of lax police patrolling due to intense cold at night.

Meanwhile, a police team has reached the spot and started investigation. But it is yet get any clue about the burglary.

The team waiting for sniffer dogs which it expects would provide some leads about the robbery and trace the whereabouts of the robbers.
