Delhi Flights Diverted

Bhubaneswar: Jan 3; Dense fog during morning hours has disrupted flights at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here.

"During the last three days, landing of aircrafts at the airport is being delayed as visibility has gone down to less than 50 metres in morning hours. The approach necessary for landing is 750 metres," said BPIA Director Sharad Kumar.

He informed that two to three aircrafts could not land at the BPIA on Saturday morning and hovered in the sky for quite a while. A New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Go Air flight was diverted to Kolkata.
