High alert in Odisha for terror threat

Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: After terror strike on Pathankot Air Base in Punjab,the state is in high alret including Jagannath Temple in Puri and the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur. 

"We have already sounded a high alert in Odisha. Police in districts have been asked to remain alert. Patrolling has been intensified along the coastline as well," DGP K B Singh told mediapersons.

Odisha police have reasons to worry as the threat of terrorism has emerged lately as a new challenge to them. Though the state has earlier been put on alert by the ministry of home affairs (MHA) about possible terror strikes, the arrest of three suspected terrorists from here in 2015 have set the alarm bells ringing.
