Nuapada: Maoist Banner Found; Odisha Bandh On Jan 8

Nuapada; Jan.4: The Red Rebels on Monday have planted several banners and posters on the walls and doors of houses in Sarajanga village in  Nuapada district.

The act of the red rebels came a day after torching 7 construction vehicles at Sirigidi village in the district.

It is believed that the outlawed group has done it to strengthen its base in the area.

Panic gripped the area and security forces have intensified combing operations to avoid any untoward incident.

Notably, a group of armed rebels had attacked the contractor's camp at Sirigiri and torched the vehicles used in road construction work.

Meawnhile, the Odisha State Committee of CPI (Maoist) has called Odisha and Chhattishgarh bandh on January 8, reports said.
