Ganjam : Three Detained For Hurling Eggs At Odisha Food Minister's Car

Chhatrapur/Ganjam; Jan.5: Chhatrapur police on Tuesday arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in pelting eggs and tomatoes at Odisha Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Das Burma's car here on Monday.

The three accused Arun Nayak, Hadu Reddy and Kalia Raul all are Congress workers, police arrested on the charges of showing black flags and hurling eggs at the Minister's car.

On Monday, a group of Congress activists protesting gross irregularities in the preparation of the digitized ration card list under National Food Security Act (NFSA) hurled eggs at the Minister's carcade at Chhatrapur when he was returning from Berhampur Univeristy after attending a programme there.
