SC barred Sardar Rajas Medical College students from attending classes till Jan 8

Bhubaneswar, Jan 6: Supreme Court on Tuesday barred 124 students of the  Sardar Rajas Medical College, who were shifted to other medical colleges recently. These students will attend classes in other colleges till next hearing of the court on Jan 8.The apex court asked the students to wait for the next hearing.

Hearing a special leave petition (SLP) filed by students of three government-run medical colleges pleading for a stay on the admission process till the matter is resolved, the apex court had advised the petitioners to appeal in the High Court instead.

It should be noted that the Medical Council of India (MCI) had withdrew its recognition and affiliation to the Sardar Rajas Medical college on grounds of poor infrastructure and inadequate faculty.
