Fire breaks out in a steel plant at Athagarh

Athgarh, Jan 6: A major fire broke outyesterday  late night in Anantpur village based TS Alloys factory situated in Athgarh area in Cuttack district of Odisha.

The blast furnace number one of the high carbon ferro alloys plant, which essential suppliers to stainless steel producers, burst into flames at night while around 30 workers were working in the factory.

Around 5  fire engine were pressed into action to subdue the flames. The fire fighting was on all night and was completely controlled around 4 am in the morning.

The blast furnace caught fire while the factory was running, no casualties have been reported in the incident.
