Arjun Tank to T55 tank test firing successful

Balasore, Jan 6: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) checked the capacity of the Arjun tank by a tank-to-tank firing, which was held at the test range of Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE) in Chandipur Integrated Test Range (ITR) here on Wednesday.

Sources said the test firing was conducted in two phases - the first at 11.30 am and another at 12.30 pm.

The test firing performed from Arjun Tank to T55 tank, developed by the Russian Defence Centre.

According to reports, the test, which is being held for the first time in India, will help to ascertain the capacity of the tank as well as the preventive power when it comes to firing to another tank.
