Southern Odisha affected by BJD Bandh call against Polavaram Project

Bhubaneswar, Jan 7: Mass agitation against Polavaram project By BJD bandh call throws normal life out of gear in southern Odisha. BJD would protest against Andhra Pradesh's Polavaram project on Thursday in four southern districts of Odisha and capital Bhubaneswar. 

Shops and business establishments remained closed during the bandh and vehicular movement was also affected as the protestors staged demonstrations at different places of the districts intensifying their opposition to the project.

The BJD would hold hartal and stage dharna in the districts of Koraput, Malakangiri, Nabarangpur and Rayagada.

At Jeypore, a bicycle rally was organied by BJD youth workers led by Dharmendra Adhikari protesting the Polavaram project.
