4 dead in Jakarta terror bombings, 10-14 gunmen

Jakarta,Jan 14: Indonesia capital Jakarta was rocked by multiple blasts on Thursday morning, leaving at least four dead. Also, 10-14 gunmen are said to be on the run and are being engaged by the police.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that there have been at least six explosions, all in central Jakarta, very near to the United Nations office.

The biggest of the explosions occurred near a Starbucks Cafe, close to a shopping centre called the Sarinah mall along the busy Jalan Thamrin.

Media reports claimed that bodies are lying around the site. Sketchy details emerging out of Jakarta added that a police officer is among those dead even as the police are trying to locate the terrorists.
