Foreign Secretary Talks Deferred; Pak Team Welcome For Pathankot Probe, Says India

New Delhi: Jan 14; India on Thursday welcomed the steps taken by Pakistan in investigating the Pathankot terror attack, particularly regarding the Jaish-e-Mohammad. Addressing mediapersons here, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Vikas Swarup said that India and Pakistan have agreed to reschedule the foreign secretary-level talks.

"We welcome the statement of the Pakistan Prime Minister's Office issued on Wednesday. India has provided actionable intelligence to Pakistan on the terror attack. The step taken by Pakistan in investigating the Pathankot terror attack is a positive step. The two foreign secretaries have spoken with each other and the talks will be held in the near future," Swarup said.
