OUAT website hacked; University handed over the case to Crime Branch

Bhubaneswar, Jan 16: Few days after hacking the website of the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Ganjam district now the hackers hacked the official website of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) on Friday evening.

The website was reportedly hacked by a hacker identifying himself as 'Don'. The hacker has posted obscene messages on the OUAT website, sources said.

On being informed about the hacking of the website by newsmen, the vice-chancellor of the university Manoranjan Kar has asked officials to remove the website from the server.

"We have removed the website from the server after it was hacked. We will file a complaint with Crime Branch in this regard. Besides, I will call the designer of the website to examine the incident," Kar said.
