Ray Demands Rly Min For More Trains To Rourkela

Rourkela: Jan 16; Rourkela BJP MLA Dilip Ray met Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha on Thursday and requested him to upgrade Railways infrastructure in Odisha and look into possibility of introducing new trains. Ray too submitted a reminder to him.

Ray reminded the Minister about his earlier request regarding problems being faced by passengers. Ray urged Sinha to extend the Gorakhpur-Hatia Express to Rourkela as it would help Rourkela people who comprise residents from north Bihar and eastern UP.

He too requested for extention of the Rajarani Express up to Berhampur or Palasa to connect southern and western parts of the State.

He proposed that a new train under the name "Gajapati Express" be introduced between Rourkela and Vishakhapatnam in view of huge traffic on the route.

He further requested him to facilitate a halt of Duranto express at Rourkela. Ray also proposed that a train from Ranchi to Ujjain via Rourkela and another from Rourkela to Bhadrak via Chakradharpur, Chainbasa, Keonjhar and Jajpur Road be introduced so that lakhs of people, including tribals, would be benefited.
