Odisha To Get Krishi Karman Award Again

Bhubaneswar: Jan 17; Odisha won the Krishi Karman Award for 2014-15 for being the best performing state in overall foodgrains production among category-II states in India. The award instituted by Union ministry of agriculture and farmers welfare consists of a trophy, a citation and a cash amount of Rs 5 crore.
For Odisha, this is the third successive Krishi Karman award since 2012-13. Earlier, the state also bagged the award in 2010-11, official sources said.

"Congratulate State's hard working farmers for Krishi Karman award for total food grains, 2014-15. This is 4th award in 5 years. Cabinet dedicates the award to our hard working farmers," tweeted chief minister Naveen Patnaik @Naveen Odisha.
