BJP Launches Poster Campaign Against BJD:NFSA Scam

Bhubaneswar: Jan 18; The BJP launched its poster campaign here on Sunday in order to reach out to people and inform them about various schemes and contributions being implemented by the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre.

Inaugurating the campaign at Satyangar, party's newly-elected State president Basant Panda said all 40 lakh primary members would move to 50,000 villages in their respective areas and make people know about the Central Government's schemes and how the State Government is tagging them in its own name.

"As per the NFSA norm, the State Government will purchase rice at `30.80 per kg. For this, the Centre will be providing `27.38, the State `2 and the consumers `1. In reality, the Union Government will bear an extra burden of `684 crore and the State Government will gain `600 crore. But the ruling BJD is hoodwinking people giving them wrong information," he said and added that the NFSA scam has exposed the real face of the State Government.

He demanded that the Government cancel the NFSA beneficiaries' list and make a new one and ensure that no deserving beneficiary is left out.

He said the Chief Minster should order a high-level probe into the ration card irregularities and punish the culprits.

Leaders like Prithviraj Harischandan, Dilip Mohanty, Jagannath Pradhan and district president Harekrushna Khuntia were present.
