Intra-state flight service starts today

Bhubaneswar, Jan 19: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the intra-state air services of Air Odisha at the Biju Patnaik International Airport on Tuesday.

The inauguration ceremony would be held at the hangar of the old terminal of the airport at 11.15 AM, official sources said.

The carrier has fixed Rs 2,499 as minimum tariff for the four destinations - Sambalpur, Jeypore, Jharsuguda and Rourkela - it will fly from here. Tariff will go up when demand increases. However, maximum tariff won't exceed Rs 5,000, Pani added.

According to the carrier's flying plans, it will go to Jharsuguda en route Sambalpur in the morning. It will leave Jharsuguda for Bhubaneswar after half an hour halt. It will then take off for Rourkela en route Angul in the afternoon. Then it will fly to Jeypore and retrun to Bhubaneswar.
