Union Coal Ministry Secretary to visit Odisha today

Bhubaneswar, Jan 29: Union Coal Ministry Secretary Anil Swarup will arrive in Odisha on a three-day visit beginning on Friday.

He will inaugurate a workshop on "Monitoring of Production and Despatch of Coal" from captive coalmines, review the production and despatch of coal from captive coalmines and chair an annual review meeting with the Chief Vigilance Officers in Bhubaneswar.

 

Swarup will also meet the State Chief Secretary before leaving for his visit to the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). Besides visiting coalmine projects to take stock of the ground situation, he will also chair a review meeting with the MCL management and the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of the company. He will return to New Delhi on January 31.
