World Bank team to meet CM, reviews street lighting, cyclone risk mitigation project in Odisha

World Bank team will meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi on Wednesday.  It should be noted that an eight-member team from the World Bank on Tuesday arrived in the State to review the energy-efficient street lighting project and cyclone risk mitigation project.


The team would visit various places in the State including Gopalpur and Chilika. It would visit Ganjam district to take stock of the cyclone risk mitigation projects being undertaken with the WB help after the cyclone Phailin. Prior to the visit, the team headed by Subash Garg on Tuesday held discussions with senior officials of various concerned departments at the State Secretariat. Housing and Urban Development Department Special Secretary SK Rath said the team expressed happiness over the energy-efficient street lighting system being implemented in the capital city of Bhubaneswar.
