Odisha CM takes stock of drinking water problem in the state

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday instructed the administration to be prepared for water supply to the parched areas. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the drinking water problem in the state. CM Patnaik suggested that the areas facing water crisis should be provided water through tankers.

Stress will be laid on digging of all bore wells till June 15, while 3,200 borewells have been dug out of the proposed 27,000 bore wells.  It was stated in the meeting that drinking water problem is acute in Jharsuguda as the water supply has been hindered due the fall in water level of Ib River. It has been decided that the denizens of Jharsuguda will be provided water from different places.
