Odisha rulling BJD leading in 2nd phase of Panchayat Polls, BJP gaining maximum seats: BJD won in 200, BJP-129 out of 363 ZP Seats

In the second phase of   Panchayat Polls ruling BJD continues to lead in Zilla Parishad zones. As per the latest report on local TV channels BJD won in 97, BJP-58, Cong-16, Others-4 out of  total polled Zilla Parishad zones-174. It should be noted that these are unofficial sources. 

In total BJD won in 200, BJP-129, Cong-27, Others-7 out of  total polled Zilla Parishad zones-363.

It should be noted that earlier on February 13 BJD won 103 ZP posts while BJP won handsomely with 71 posts out of total 188 parishads during the first phase polls.

BJD wins 3 out of 4 ZP zones in Balikuda of Jagatsinghpur. BJD emerges winner in 9 ZP zones in Ganjam; 1 in Boudh. BJP makes a clean sweep in Kalahandi by winning in all 9 ZP Zones. BJD wins 3 out of 6 ZP Zones in Bargarh. Congress wins all 3 ZP zones in Jharsuguda district. BJP wins all 3 ZP zones of Badamba in Cuttack.

It should be noted that Polling for the second phase of panchayat elections has concluded and counting has begun on Wednesday. Around 60 percent polling was seen in the second phase till 12 noon. Violence was reported in Boudh, Athagarh and other regions.
