Two Including Sarpanch Candidate Killed In Poll Violence In Ganjam

Few hours ahead of the fifth and final phase panchayat polls across Odisha today, two persons including a sarpanch candidate were killed in poll related violence cases in Ganjam district late last night.

The sarpanch candidate, identified as Bulu Pradhan, died during a group clash at Brahman Sahi under Hinjili police limits of Sheragada block while ten others injured in the poll violence.

While eight of the injured were admitted to the MKCG hospital in Berhampur, two are undergoing treatment at the Hinjili hospital.

Sources said tension is on in the village following the group clash.
