Six Dead In Three Separate Road Accidents In Odisha

Total six persons were killed in three separate road accidents at different places in the state on Wednesday.

In Khurda, a man and his son were killed after a bus hit their bike from behind at Siko Bazaar. Aggrieved over the incident, locals staged a protest and later ransacked the Siko police outpost. In a bid to control the mob, the police resorted to a lathicharge.

In Sambalpur, a Bolero vehicle killed two persons including a woman in a series of accidents near Jhankarpalli area of Maneswar on NH-55. Eyewitnesses said the vehicle's driver at first hit a pedestrian killing him on the spot and later hit a bike while fleeing from the spot hurriedly causing the death of the woman riding a pillion. The biker was critically injured in the road accident.
