Sakshi ended India's painful wait for a medal at the Olympic Games by clinching a bronze medal in the women's 58kg freestyle category, pulling off a sensational 8-5 victory over Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan in the play-off bout. She became only the fourth Indian woman athlete to win an Olympic medal as she earned the dramatic win after falling behind 0-5 on day 12.

VINESH PHOGAT
Vinesh won a bronze medal at the 2016 Asian Championships. At the Olympics in Rio, she reached the quarter-finals and lost to Sun Yanan of China owing a knee injury after dominating.

YOGESHWAR DUTT
Yogeshwar secured an Olympic quota place for India with a gold-medal finish in the men's 65kg freestyle category in the Asian Olympic Qualification in April 2016. In August, he had his bronze medal from 2012 upgraded to silver as the same of the silver medalist from Russia was found positive for a dope test.
