2 Dead, 4 Hurt In Clash Over 'Dola' Procession

Two including a woman were killed and four critically injured during a group clash over the 'Dola' procession at Pasulunda village in Salepur on Tuesday evening.

Elaborating the incident, Subash Chandra Jena, an injured, said, "During the Dola procession, members of a family, which was banished by the village, forcefully offered 'bhoga' to the deity following which other villagers declined to take part in the procession on Monday. However, after intervention from the local police, the matter was sorted out. But today the members of the same family along with some other associates attacked some villagers in the afternoon injuring four persons and killing two."
