Mahindra Scorpio TOISA 2017 Nominees: Squash

Ahead of the Mahindra Scorpio Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) to be held on March 20, here's a look at the three nominees for Squash Player of the Year.

The only Indian to win an individual world title last year, claiming the Australian Open. At the South Asian Games, Dipika was part of the gold medal-winning Indian women's team. Also a member of the team that won silver at the Asian Team Championship in Taipei. In July, she dethroned defending champion Joshna Chinappa to regain the women's title at the 73rd Senior National Squash Championship. Won a double bronze medal with Joshna and silver with Saurav Ghosal at the World Championship.

At the 2016 South Asian Games, she was part of the gold medal-winning Indian women's team. The top seed at the SAG, Joshna beat second seeded Toorpaki Wazir to clinch gold in the women's individual category. Member of the team that won silver at the Asian Team Championship. In July, Joshna rose to a career-high world ranking of 10. In August, she and Dipika won a double bronze medal at the World Championship
