Bhadrak Unrest : Peace Processions Held Across Odisha

In view of the Bhadrak violence, peace processions were held across Odisha to restore peace in the region.

In Cuttack, a candle light march, in purpose of restoring peace in Bhadrak, was organised under the leadership of actor-turned-MP Anubhav Mohanty on Sunday. The procession started from Cuttack Samaj office and culminated at Gouri Shankar Park. Cuttack-Barabati MLA Debasis Samantray along with various intellectuals also took part in the march.

Talking to media persons, Mohanty said, "We are not Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian but we are brothers, humanity is our caste and religion. Humanity is the biggest thing we should learn."

In Bhubaneswar, students of Utkal University also held a procession to restore peace in Bhadrak. The students started their rally from the office of the Vice-Chacellor to the gate of the University by holding placards with messages of restoring peace and brotherhood.
