UP governor appoints VCs of two universities

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik on Friday appointed vice chancellors in King George's Medical University (KGMU) and Madan Mohan Malviya Technical University (MMTU), Gorakhpur for a tenure of three years.

While MLB Bhatt, head of Radiology department of the KGMU has been appointed vice-chancellor, Prof Srinivas Singh of Electrical Engineering department, IIT Kanpur took charge as VC of MMMTU, Gorakhpur, a release issued by Raj Bhawan said.

The tenure of their service will be for three years from the date of joining.
