'Half Girlfriend' song gets an early launch following demand on social media

The makers of 'Half Girlfriend' are happy that the film's music, presented by Zee Music Company, has garnered much appreciation.

While the first romantic track of the Mohit Suri-directorial, 'Baarish', recorded massive number of hits in a single day, another soulful number - 'Phir Bhi Tumko Chahoonga' - has also generated strong buzz. In fact, the song, composed by Mithoon and rendered by Arijit Singh, will be released tomorrow, following public demand on their official sites, social media accounts and microblogging profiles. The track had become popular after the audience got a glimpse of it in the film's trailer.

Anurag Bedi, Business Head, Zee Music, says, "It's for the first time that we are releasing a song earlier than scheduled because of public demand on our social media platforms. We are ecstatic over the response so far."

Mohit adds, "Mithoon, Arijit and I are truly overwhelmed by all the love." The film, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, has been produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, Mohit Suri and Chetan Bhagat. It's slated to release on May 19.
