Freedom Fighter’s Kin Babula Panda Reaches Home

Ending all speculation, freedom fighter Laxmi Indira Panda’s grandson Babula Panda finally reached him home in Jeypore amid police security here on Saturday.

Babula Panda, who had gone missing from Bhubaneswar on April 16, was undergoing treatment in the trauma care ICU of the SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack since April 27.

"I am completely cured now. After all the medical checkups including eye, kidney and liver, I was discharged from the hospital yesterday. There is no politics," said Babula.

It may be mentioned here that Babula along with his parents had come to Bhubaneswar to attend a ceremony at Raj Bhawan, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitated his family on April 16.

During their return, the trio got separated from each other. While his mother Sujata Panda was rescued from Balasore railway station, Babula went missing.

Babula’s family have now heaved a sigh of relief after his return.
