FM launches first gold trading at MCX commodity options platform

New Delhi, Oct 17: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today launched an option's contract in gold on the Multi Commodity Exchange on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras.

On this occasion, Jaitley said that Dhanteras marks an important evolution in trade of yellow metal.

He added that India and Indians have a great bond with gold and so this would be highly beneficial for all those connected with this industry.

Finance Secretary Ashok Lavasa and Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister Bibek Debroy were also present on the occasion.
