Odisha police conducts lie detection test in Koraput gang rape case

Bhubaneswar, Oct 19:  Odisha police on Wednesday brought one of the suspects of the Koraput gang rape case to Bhubaneswar to conduct lie detection test as part of the investigation.

Lie detection test of one of the suspects is being conducted at the Bhubaneswar Forensic Laboratory, informed DGP RP Sharma.

Meanwhile, the DGP cleared that investigation has progressed and the suspects are being interrogated and said 'Alleged involvement of security personnel and Maoists has not been established yet. Since we are investigating the case from all angles, we have obtained certain leads.'

Lie detection test of all suspects who are frequently changing their statements will be conducted, if required, he added.

'The probe will further progress once we get more information in this connection, Sharma concluded.
