An Odia Officer wins 50 lakhs in KBC

Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: The festival of lights, Diwali has ushered wealth and prosperity in the life of a government officer of Sundergarh district, Sunil Tandi. He has won Rs 50 lakhs in the ninth season of actor Amitabh Bachchan's TV show, Kaun Banega Crorepati-KBC. 

This episode will be aired on the day of Diwali.

A District Welfare Officer of Sundergarh district, Sunil Tandi originally hails from Bolangir. He successfully got through the 'fastest finger first' round to make it to the hot seat. His companion on the sets was Jaykrushna Sahoo, his friend from Bolangir and teacher at Tikripada College.

Sunil successfully waded through the questions with the help of the lifelines and was able to grab a whopping amount of Rs 50 lakhs.
