Floodwater hits traffic on Udala-Baripada road

Baripada, Oct 20: Traffic movement on Udala-Baripada road in Mayurbhanj district has been disrupted as flood water is flowing 2-ft above a bridge over Deo river now.

According to information, the Deo river swelled due to heavy rainfall occurred in the Shimilipal area during the last 24 hours. Resultantly, the bridge over the river on the outskirts of Udala town has been inundanted. The bridge connects Udala and Mayurbhanj district headquarters town, Baripada.

Motor vehicles have been stranded at different places on the road.
