Over 1500 People Marooned In Rayagada Villages

Rayagada, Oct 20: Over 1500 people in two villages of Chandrapur block in the district have been marooned due to the flash flood in the area after incessant rain from last 24 hours.

Residents of Bandari and Kumbarsahi villages were reeling under the impact of flash flood. They completely cut off with the mainland due to the unprecedented rise of the water level of nearby stream.

A team of SDRF was engaged to evacuate the marooned people.
